Vertical garden / Huerta vertical



A garden is a great therapy for everyone, even more so for those who live in cities filled with so much concrete. Perhaps it is due to work the land has some healing power, or simply because of the fact it gives so much satisfaction to see the sprouts of aromatic vegetables and spices peek out and to see ripe fruit on the table, knowing it was grown by your own hands.

1. Make sure there is enough light. You will require at least two hours of sunlight to stimulate the plants' photosynthesis.

2. Choose the right plants. For beginners, it is advisable to choose plants that require less care (basil, rosemary, mint, parsley, cilantro/coriander). Then you can move on and graduate to grow tomatoes, lettuce, and strawberries.

3. Create a basic care routine. Water the plants once a day, do not add any chemicals, and make sure you do not have pests. It is always advisable to ask a specialist if you are not sure.

4. Puedes utilizar vasos o botellas PET como macetas. Usar compost que tengas para nutrir las plantas es siempre una buena opción. Sólo se puede utilizar estos recipientes para pequeñas plantas como especias y hierbas medicinales.
