My Mom angels

For those of you who don't know my mother, apart from being the best mother in the world, she is incredibly creative. One of her big passions is to recycle: plastic bottles, cans, paper... Her strongest side is paper, which I will demonstrate a little later. she sent some photos of some beautiful angels, made for the Christmas tree. Here I am trying in the best possible way to explain her process, although she always makes everything look very simple.

Para quienes no conocen a mi madre, aparte de ser la mejor madre del mundo, es increíblemente creativa y una de sus grandes pasiones es reciclar; botellas plásticas, latas, papel....su fuerte es el papel, ya les mostraré mas adelante.Ella me envió fotografías de unos hermosos ángeles que ha hecho para el árbol de navidad, aquí intento lo mejor posible explicar su proceso, aunque ella siempre lo hace parecer todo muy simple.

For these angels we need:

Empty packages of yoghurt, milk or juice, or any type of package you can shape to a conical form

Silicone glue

Scissors

Textile fabric to cover them

Lace, ribbons, buttons or flowers for decoration

Yarn for the hair

Paper for the wings

Necesitamos para estos angelitos: 

Envases desocupados de yogurt, leche individual, de jugo individual o cualquier tipo de envase al que se le pueda dar forma cónica

Pegamento de silicona fría o caliente

Tijeras

Tela para forrarlos, restos de encaje, cinta, botones o flres para decorar

Lana para el pelo 

Papel para las alas

Make four cuts in the top of the container and glue together with the silicone glue to form a cone, with two parts inside and the two others in the wrapped around.Next to cover with the fabric, it is good to create a mold first. An easy way is to wrap the container with paper and cutting a little extra in the base. Use this mold to cut the fabric and glue to the container by the edge. Decorate the back with lace and a shiny ribbon in the base.

Se hacen 4 cortes en la parte superior del envase y se juntan haciendo un cono pegando con con silicona , dos partes adentro y las otras dos las envuelven.

luego para forrar con la tela es bueno crear un molde primero, una forma facil es envolviendo el envase con papel y cortando lo que sobra en la base.

As a head, you can form a ball of paper covered in fabric, which should be a bit elastic, or pin it to the base with needle and thread. Paint the eyes with acrylic paint which will stick to the body. The cover the union, tie a ribbon around. Yarn or a string will form the arms and neck ties. For the hair, cover the head with silicone glue and form loops with the yarn and stick to it.

Con este molde cortamos la tela y la pegamos al envase  por el borde y la parte de atrás, se adorna con encaje y un cordón brillante en la base. Para la cabeza se puede hacer una bolita de papel forrada en tela un poco elasticada o frunciendo el la base con aguja e hilo, se pintan los ojos con pintura acrílica se pega al cuerpo, para tapar la unión se pega una cinta, lana o cordón que forman los brazos y los lazos del cuello ,para el pelo  se coloca silicona en la cabeza y se va formando bucles con la lana.

Cut small wings and paste on the back, and attach a golden crown. To make the loop for hanging it, pass a needle with thread through the fabric in the head, in the top.

Corta unas pequeñas alas, se pegan en la parte de atrás y una corona dorada,  para colgar se pasa un hilo son aguja por la tela de la cabeza hacia, arriba.

Tips:
For containers that are very colorful and can not be cleaned, it would be advisable to cover completely with paper or fabric directly if it is not very transparent.If you do not have elastic fabric for the head, a sock that has no mate (for those who do not know what to do with them) or a piece of an old shirt would be perfect.For the face, use your makeup! Eyes with eye pencil, cheeks with makeup powder.

Tips:

Para los envases que tienen mucho colorido y no se puede limpiar, seria recomendable forrar completo con papel o tela directamente si no es muy transparente.

si no tienes tela elasticada para la cabeza, un calcetín que no tenga par, (de esos que no sabemos que hacer con ellos)o un trozo de una camiseta vieja sería perfecto.

para la carita usa tu maquillaje! los ojos con lápiz para ojos, y las mejillas con polvo de maquillaje
