After having slept extremely well last night, in my dreams I remembered how things were for me and my children before we went to live in Sweden and how things are now eight years later. There are some specific things which are important to me, without thinking about real politics because I do not know much nor do I care.
After three years my mother got an answer for the reconstruction of their home destroyed in the earthquake of February 2010
a. - Housing : before I could not enter a selection process to receive a house, because in this country you have to be very, very poor to get a house (council house) from the state, because there are basic requirements. The government does a survey and defines exactly how poor you are - but deem you to be less so if you have a good education, you pay a lease that allows you to be in a comfortable home, if you have a TV (even worse if
you have cable TV!), a refrigerator, a computer,and if you dress well and speak without using slang or have aderogatory way to talk... (which I don't, but I have no possibilities to get or to have a job that allow me to save enough to prove I have "saving capacity" and do not spend money on things that are not really important.
Now after several years none of that has changed.
To obtain this precious bonus, amounting to 40 thousand pesos per month (equivalent to 50 British pounds or 75 dollars), you must have been working for the last six months, or if not, be enrolled in a program to help overcome poverty... which is not giving justice to thename, as you are judged by the famous survey to say you are poor and that does not do me justice .
c. - Education: inasfar as 8 years ago was as bad as it is now, we have implemented the English language in the curriculum... the government thinks that this is primarily so that young people can access more opportunities, but there no teachers sufficiently prepared to teach properly, English or any other subject, not before, nor today... Teachers tired of seeing the same faces and receiving the same poor salary.
I watched my nephews and my own children protest for a better education and not benefitting any from it, instead they had to run screaming from the forces to escape the relentless sticks of "law enforcement" . Without any apparent change in many years, desillusion is everywhere.

d. - Health.... I should not even touch on this topic, but I will in a short summary. Not everyone in this blessed country can have the same health system. My father was a democrat 40 years ago, and for that, the government has given him and his family a tremendous benefit called Prais (comprehensive compansation program for health and human rights) ... as if the destruction of thousands of families by killings, jailing and stealing of assets can be repaired or compensated by that.
The program gives free health care for those affected and their families to the third generation: children, and grandchildren. But the plague of bad public medical hospitals, many of the staff being foreigners, with poor wages and unwilling to attend, with endless waiting lists for care and emergency operations, you have to have the courage and resilience to be in the offices at 7 in the morning, which for many means getting sick at 6 or so in the morning in order to obtain a service number... and the list goes on, with unimaginable abuse by staff with minimal education and without motivation.
Yeah, so I have decided not to vote, for the same or something that is the least bad...
With the words of a boy uploading his videos to YouTube... "this is my perception about voting, so yours is probably more correct"!!

Después de haber dormido excelentemente bien la pasada noche entre mis sueños he recordado como eran las cosas para mi y mis hijos antes de ir a vivir a Suecia y como son ahora después de 8 años, cosas puntuales importantes para mi y sin pensar en política porque no entiendo mucho ni tampoco me interesa.
a.- vivienda: antes no pude entrar en un proceso de selección porque en este país tienes que ser muy pobre para obtener una casa de parte del estado porque hay un requisito básico y es que el estado hace una encuesta y dice que tan pobre eres, pero dejas de serlo si has tenido una buena educación, pagas un arriendo que te permite estar en una casa cómoda, un televisor (peor si es con televisión por cable), un refrigerador, un computador, te vistes bien y hablas sin utilizar modismos o forma despectiva de hablar..(lo que no hago, pero tengo todo lo demás o tener un trabajo que te permita ahorrar lo suficiente para demostrar que tienes "capacidad de ahorro" y no te gastas el dinero en cosas que no son realmente importantes.
ahora después de varios años nada de eso ha cambiado
2.- existe un renombrado bono que el gobierno otorga a madres que son "jefas de familia", lo que significa...mujeres que viven solas con sus hijos, por diferentes razones, separación, divorcio, maltrato o simplemente nunca se han casado y han sacado adelante a sus hijos solas en la vida.
para obtener este preciado bono, lo que asciende ha 40 mil pesos, tienes que haber estado trabajando en los últimos 6 meses, si no es así estar inscrito en un programa de ayuda a salir de la pobreza....de los cuales no se ni siquiera su nombre, lo que si se es que entras con la famosa encuesta que dices que eres pobre y que no me hace justicia.
3.- la educación hasta donde se hace 8 años atrás era tan mala como es ahora, se han implementado el idioma ingles, el que este gobierno piensa que primordial para que los jóvenes puedan acceder a mas oportunidades, pero no hay profesores lo suficientemente preparados para enseñar de manera adecuada, ni ingles ni ninguna otra asignatura, antes como hoy....profesores cansados de ver las mismas caras y recibir el mismo salario.
he visto a mis sobrinos y mis propios hijos protestar por una educación mejor y no lucrar con ella, gritar con fuerzas y correr para salvarse de los implacables palos de "las fuerzas del orden"....sin ningún cambio aparente y con desilución en todo su ser.
4.- salud.....no quisiera ni siquiera referirme a este tema, pero lo haré en un corto resumen. no todos en este bendito país podemos tener el mismo sistema de salud, por haber sido mi padre demócrata 40 años atrás le han otorgado a el y su familia un tremendo beneficio llamado PRAIS (programa de reparación integral en salud y derechos humanos)...como si lo que les quitaron a miles de familias en las matanzas pueda ser reparado.
esto es tener salud gratis para los afectados y su familia hasta la tercera generación, hijos, y nietos. Los hospitales apestados de malos médicos, muchos de ellos extranjeros, con malos sueldos y sin ganas de atender, listas interminables de espera, para atención y operaciones de urgencia, tener el valor necesario de estar en los consultorios a las 7 de la mañana, lo que para muchos significa levantarse enfermos a las 6 o menos de la mañana para poder obtener un numero de atención.....y la lista sigue, inimaginables malos tratos por parte de personal con mínima educación y sin motivación.
si, he decidido no votar ni por lo mismo ni lo mas malo ni lo menos malo...
y como dice un joven que sube videos a youtube...."esta es mi percepción acerca de las votaciones, asi que seguramente la tuya es mas correcta"!!
